Impulse Outing

Mike, my son in law is cycling the Leeds - Liverpool Canal this weekend so it’s an all female house at Skipton.
 Late afternoon Rebecca suggested we went for an ice cream at BillyBobs and we all quickly agreed.
A  phone call made by Ruby confirmed it was open but we had to eat in the car as it was bookings only for the diner.
Ice creams eaten and enjoyed ( see extra)  the girls asked if we could have a little drive so we went over to Burnsall which was very quiet. We parked  up and Verity and Kitty had a paddle in the River Wharfe, the water was so clear ( see extra).
Luckily we had a ballet towel in the car.
We stayed about an hour,  it was so peaceful.
Only took a few minutes to be back at Skipton.
 l am just having a rhubarb gin and elderflower tonic then we are having pizza.
Enjoyed it so much we are planning a trip further up the Dales tomorrow for  a picnic, if we can find somewhere quiet.
Made me realise how little l have been out this year, l am quite excited!
