In the heather...

The heather is turning pink and looking gorgeous on the moors right now. This gatekeeper butterfly was on a bit of it and blended in very well. The sun is now out after a bit of a foggy start which was good for walking. I had a lovely couple of hours walking & catching up with a good friend.

My garden project has been decided. I like the 'very messy' look but the plants have all got too happy that I rarely touch them. I've decided to have a big chop and cull of the ones that don't do much for wildlife, put the ones I want to keep in pots and clear it completely. The plan is to 'weed' it with white vinegar/salt and soap solution before putting down some kind of eco friendly weed matting. Then I'll start again :)
