HOW many?!?
I went out to harvest a bit of Vitamin D and had the camera with telephoto lens, with a bit of macro capability onboard @ 1.1 = 3.6'.
This obliging bee decided to stay in the area and visit a few flowers, rather than one and away to another plant as is often the case.
Considering it was shot at 1/2000 I was amazed/amused to find it wingless.
Just checked, to find:-
"A scientist in 1947 determined that your average worker honey bee beats its wings at the rate of 208 to 277 beats per second."
Wouldn't you think that, at 1/2000, you'd at least get a hint it had wings?
BTW, if you're interested, it's one of my hostas; NO idea which one.
