Children (and maybe some adults) have been busy building this little dam across the beck! A pretty neat structure and as you can see it has been quite effective at creating a ‘pool’ upstream which has some nice reflections of the vegetation on the banks.

We had a sparrowhawk in the garden again early this morning - sitting on the fence and waiting patiently for a victim (extra). It wasn’t successful today!

Q. What did the fish say when it swam into a wall?
