Leicester Square £260...
....welcome to the heart of London cinema land. Leicester Square is best known for the home of the major UK film premieres with red carpets all over the place, most days of the year though its mainly about nightclubs, casinos and dodgy food vendors that sell pizza (or more accurately triangles of dough) by the slice.
The square is a pedestrianised and named after Robert Sidney, 2nd Earl of Leicester, The Earl built Leicester House, the gardens attached are now what is now known as Leicester Square, to the west of it is Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden to the east, Trafalgar Square to the south and Chinatown and Soho to the north.
The Square has a statue and fountain of William Shakespeare in it but I can't think why or able to find a link, if anyone has the answer, let me know.
Regulars won't be surprised to know, because it is Saturday, that I (as well as feeling a bit unwell) am thoroughly miserable after another abject display by my team, I won't say anymore because I'll just upset myself.
What did cheer me up though was the great response to the Fleet Street clock, I wasn't sure if anyone would like it but it just goes to show that you never know. Thanks for the stars, comments and hearts and hope you are having a great weekend.
Nearly forgot..........Matthew has a number for you
