Drizzle on and off for most of the day, and a good 10 degrees cooler than yesterday. The plants in the 'yard are appreciating the rain.
About a year ago, I bought some fabric to make curtains for our bathroom, and it's been lurking in the spare room ever since. Today, I actually started the job, spurred on by the fact that there are new tenants in the flat opposite said bathroom. Downed tools for a while this afternoon for a cup of tea and chat with Jacqui, who called in to collect her shopping.
Good to chat with Tom on the phone this evening. He and Lucy have both been assisting students with A-level results, in one way or another, and working long hours to do so. A crying shame that the education department's grading system seems to have ignored teacher assessments, and applied a statistical model that disproportionately favoured pupils at private schools...
