Promise of Rain
I got a last minute booking for the National Trust's Polesden Lacey on what turned out to be one of the hottest and muggiest days so far. It certainly wasn't a day to be taking long energetic walks round the gardens and wider estate, and I was thankful for the climate controls on my new Golf!
The day started with blue skies, but started to cloud over in the afternoon. There was thunder all around, and you could clearly see rain falling over the hills on the horizon, but other than a few spots, none found its way over here.
It was a good day out though, and I enjoyed my customary morning coffee, lunch and ice cream afternoon treat!
