"The Workmens Dwellings", Bettington St.

Constructed by the Sydney Harbour Trust in 1910 as part of the post-plague reconstruction of Millers Point, these apartments originally provided public housing to the workers of the wharves. Large families were often crammed into tiny rooms, with the children playing in the streets.
The signage says that they have been "sympathetically restored", but to my eye they are a touch over gentrified and I prefer the "original" look of the cottages at the end of nearby Merriman St, as per the extra.

(Second backblip to catch up after returning from Sydney)
