I spied her.

One of my jobs today was to cut back ivy and winter Jasmine which had been left to take over an area at the side of the customer's bungalow. I checked for bird's nests, there were 4, all empty but knew I'd make the acquaintance of quite a few spiders.

The weather changed today, there was quite a bit of rain and, as I write this, it is pouring. It was quite a novelty getting wet today.
