Seeing Beyond Looking

After the Glorious Rain

There were storms and rain in the night and the air felt fresh and lovely on my early morning walk. I know the best circuits to take to go past gardens with the most flowers in my neighbourhood. There were several bushes of these beautiful Roses of Sharon (common Hibiscus). They come in several different colours, but I liked these pale lavender ones the best.

Breakfast on the balcony and then some reading:
'A Redbird Christmas' by Fannie Flagg. I'm reading it for a second time as it's one of those feel-good books.
I've just finished 'Eleanor Oliphant is Completly Fine'. An excellent first novel by Gail Honeyman. It was Carol (evolybab) who recommended this book a while back. Thanks, Carol. An excellent recommendation!

Temperatures:
21C at 5.30 am
26C at midday
the rest of the day is unknown - but maybe a tad less than yesterday which felt torrid.
