New Zealand’s magnificent white heron - spotted close to the walking path along Wharf Road.

As we were driving along the road I was admiring the black swans which were feeding further out when something white, almost out of sight below the bank caught my eye!


Thank you for the comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s dried petals. The bloom originally began life as a deep red - faded now, but still lovely.


Covid-19 update
Thirteen new community cases were reported today. All of these confirmed cases are in Auckland and are linked to the four initial new community cases.
This time, all confirmed cases are being managed in a quarantine facility.
