Shorter

Finished my book for July before heading to work - 'Broken Greek' by Pete Paphides was just ace! Think I'll go for summat considerably shorter for August tho', seeing as it's, erm, the 12th already - got to give myself a chance after all.

I looked at the weather forecast for today when I was at work yesterday and, because it looked a bit shit, I thought that rather than stop in all day I'd sign mesen up for an extra shift - 10am to 6pm. Got to work and I was cursing - blazing sunshine all day and I was wearing long trousers and feeling really hot and running around here, there and everywhere. I did get paid, don't get me wrong but......ahhhh, no other thing to do then but get togged up when I got home around half six and get out there for the evening. A gorgeous night, really lovely to be out and, as the sun hung as a red ball over the hills of Fife before dipping down behind them just a few minutes later, I was glad to be out at that particular time. Plus, still pretty warm, and I had my lights, and there was hardly any traffic - more or less ideal really.
