Shield Bug

Last night's thunderstorm & lightning seemed to go on and on, very heavy rain over a short period, some of the local roads were flooded & planes diverted west from landing at Edinburgh. Even when the thunderstorm had moved on there were still loads of flashes eventually getting to sleep to wake up early morning by more rumbles & flashes.

Weatherman said over 19,000 lightning strikes in Scotland last night with some places getting more than a months rain in an hour. Lots of localised flooding in areas.

The rumbling just seemed to be continuous with flashes, still quite humid in today's sun. Hope you all having thunderstorms today are safe.

Walk around wee woodland & park in the evening, lots of shield bugs on the rowan berries so different to see one on the rosehip.
