Out of the woods!

Clickychick was wanting to look for flowing water for a forthcoming course.   In the cool of the evening we took a walk along the banks of the River Eamont, which flows out of Ullswater.

The path was much more overgrown than we expected, we had assumed it would have been well walked for exercise during lockdown.  Not so, nettle were a distinct problem when wearing shorts.

Part way along our walk we entered deep dark woodland.   This is the stile just as we came out.   A hundred yards or so on we  came across a family enjoying the cool of the shallow slow flowing river.  Beyond that a lady and her dogs, she said she had been dreaming of the cool water all day!
