Light Show

Another hot but otherwise uneventful day. I did put out my moth trap, as the warnings of thunderstorms the previous night had come to nothing, only to be woken at 1:30am by the rumbling of thunder, so I went outside, disconnected the light and covered the trap. I then enjoyed the spectacular light show for about 15 minutes before returning to my bed. The butterflies continue to visit the buddleia and the oregano. I suspect this Small Tortoiseshell is a second broods it is smaller than the ones we had earlier in the year.
