Very warm today, high of 26C, better to sit in the shade.

A rather frustrating day;  the delivery expected yesterday didn't arrive, and on contacting the carriers, was told they had no knowledge of it.  Had to contact the retailer, and this was not easy, as on line contact did not work.  It seems all the storms have had an effect on internet.  Eventually phoned customer services and she said she would sort it out, and we would get a reply by e-mail in 72 HOURS.  Some service!

The HG needed some medication, and that didn't turn up at the pharmacy as promised, so more phone calls.

Had booked a meal on the Eat Out Help Out Scheme for tonight, but the HG was not feeling good so cancelled that.

And the HG's debit card, which had been faulty and was corrected on Tuesday, did not work so more telephone calls.....

What a day!

Having an ice cream cone on the deck and looking at this beautiful lily calmed me down!
