Wait on me!

Marion and Joan came over today and we went a walk through my local woods and country area. Not alone though! Mittens decided to follow us. He sometimes comes up into the woods with us when we go to put the cameras up at the badger sett, but I didn’t expect him to stick with us for our 5km round trip.
Needless to say because of the heat, he had to have a few rests. He was also panting - quite unusual for a cat. So I stayed with him as he lay down on our way back and phoned Martin to come with the cat basket. I didn’t want him lying exhausted in the woods. So cat rescue it was! He’s fine now after a drink, some tuna and a long sleep.
