The one that got away

A hot night, with the fan running continuously in our bedroom in the wonderfully converted barn where we are staying for a few nights. 

We had a slow, relaxed day.  We did go for a stroll through the village; on the way back we saw these Eryngium flowers heavily populated with bees. I managed to get the bee on the front of the  nearest flower sharp, but another bee decided to buzz off and ignored my instruction to fly within the plane of focus.  To be fair, even at 1/1250 second I'm not sure it would have been totally sharp.

We sat outside this evening on the platform over the small stream behind the barn, enjoying a celebratory bottle of champagne to mark yet another wedding anniversary, followed by a tasty meal (courtesy of Tesco meal deals!). 

It will be another hot night.

Another back-blip as I was too relaxed to blip while we were away!
