Storm

We had a bit of rain last night. Loads of thunder and lightening (very very frightening) A house was hit about eight miles away (better than a few years ago when one just up the road was destroyed).

The canal towpath near Whitecross has failed and the contents of the canal is now emptying with a torrent - that is going to be a lot of water.

Dreadful train accident in Stonehaven, sadly it looks like there are fatalities.

Lots of places flooded.

And if all that wasn't bad enough the heavy rain has taken down a third of our fruit laden plum tree. Will harvest the plums and see if they will ripen in the conservatory.

More storms starting up this afternoon but thankfully elsewhere in the country.
