Flash, bang, wallop!

Bit of a lively night... snapshot just after 3am from live lightning & thunderclap monitoring in my area.

Red/yellow dots are lightning strikes and circles are sound wave extents from thunderclaps.

Serious flooding in various places, and now we’ve a subsequent train derailment with multiple injuries in Aberdeenshire. Impacts and frequency of summer thunderstorms are growing, as per climate change predictions, unfortunately. Sober reminder.
