Keeping Wednesday Wild
Thanks Cailleach for keeping the Wild Wednesday challenge alive.
We certainly had wild weather last night. Lightning that seemed to go on for hours followed by great rolls of thunder and heavy rain. A few plants took the brunt of the storm but it's not too bad today. A lot of travel disruption though because of flooding. And sadly a train derailment at Stonehaven.
This visitor, along with 100s of its close friends, was enjoying the fennel. No point waging war on slugs and snails. They always win and anyway how would I do it.
It's beautiful weather today, after the storm. I've spent the morning at the desk making grant applications and planning a walking route for next month's socially distanced virtual kiltwalk. Later I'll have yoga via zoom and later still an actual social engagement! We've been invited to a neighbour's garden this evening to celebrate a significant birthday. A different kind of end to the day than for the past six months.
