Renaming (a rare self portrait)

My right leg is now named "Arth", not Arthur of Art, we must get this right!

The arthroscopy went ahead without problems this morning. I took the iPhone so that I could at least capture one image in the hospital and this is it. There was damaged cartilage which has been removed - good news. There is a lot of wear and tear under the kneecap - the not so good news. Must be all that kneeling I've done over the years!

It does mean that I should not kneel on this knee much in future. Since it is my preferred knee when doing the garden and photography, this will be a challenge.

I feel fine if bit sore and drowsy. My skills with the crutches were deemed good enough to allow me to come home. I had to practice stairs too.

A big thank you to everyone who has been kind enough to send good wishes and ask how I'm getting on. It's lovely to have all this support from people all around the globe. Good old Blipfoto.

PS Not sure I would have said this Roberts Jones@ bandage was quite up to scratch. The adhesive tape was falling off by the time I was back on the ward! Otherwise, first rate care all round.
