In the Blood

It was impossible to get a picture of the two lads together at the last couple of games. Today, a relatively easy win under their belt, it proved a little easier to extract Forrest from his captaincy duties and Roam from his dog-walking responsibilities. Unlike last week, neither had a good individual day, but others did.

It was a perfect day for watching cricket, the kind of day you look forward to all winter as a cricket lover. For a while there, it looked very unlikely to happen at all this summer. And, of course, having my youngest in the team, opening the bowling, was never in the planning. Another little plus of these strange times.
