Walter Sisulu Gardens

A public holiday is always good and as it was a beautiful day, it was great to be able to get out for a good long walk but we were sad to see how badly the botanical gardens had faired during the lockdown, the lack of watering and protection from frost.

But, the waterfall water was crystal clear, wildlife wandered freely about and the black eagles were flying so it was not all bad.

It will take a good bit of time and effort to get it back to its usual standard but the clivias were already popping their orange flowers adding lovely splashes of colour amongst the weeds.
