Loud

The wonderful summer just goes on and on. Today we went on a hiking trail we have been to before. But this time we got a surprise, a loud one. My husband was wondering where the sound was coming from.
Extra: We heard the women long before we saw them in their kayaks. Some people do not understand how well and how far sound can travel over water. We heard their discussion for a long time, but it was rather boring talk about kayaks and technicalities.
These two women were not the only ones out on the lake. There were lots of canoeists out on the lake and on the rocks around. And they were loud too:-(
From next week, it will probably be calmer and quieter in the forest, at least in the weekdays , as the schools start and the holidays are over for many. I look forward to it. (Yes, I know. I am a grumpy old lady).
