Standing Long Jump

Unfortunately this robin was in moult during the Alternative Olympic Games and missed the competition.  Undaunted he is now training hard for the standing long jump event for when they are next held.

The thunder storm came last night and what a show it gave. Starting sometime after 11pm and continuing into the small hours we had almost continuous lightning and heavy rain.  Mostly it was sheet lightning just lighting up the sky but one or two flashes were fork lighting and grounded somewhere close followed by a loud thunderclap.
