Grandma’s Recipe

During vacation I was rummaging through some recipes and was excited to find one in my Grandmother’s handwriting. I showed it to my dad and said his mum was the best cook. She was a German American that spoke both languages. She cooked more German style than anything else. Thick sauces - lots of meat and potatoes. I will have to try this recipe, though I won’t be able to add her special touch.
Another day at home. Laundry, vacuuming, and washed a few windows. My husband put a brisket on the smoker, so dinner was delicious. B baked salted caramel cookies for dessert too!
