Nobody puts Jess in the corner
Today I had the rare treat of seeing Michelle who cycled to Cambridge to work half a day around the same table. We were on a call with our colleague Jess who ruminated about a recent return after holiday. ‘It was so nice to have a week where I wasn’t sitting in the corner’. This must be the experience of many people marooned in odd nooks of bedrooms and kitchens, trying to focus on work as babies shriek and cats jump on laps.
Michelle and I went out after work to enjoy the warm temperatures. We took my well-trodden routes through the fens and by the river, winding up with a refreshing rhubarb ice cream and bottle of ginger ale on the grass in front of King’s College.
A strong start to the week.
