Day 4: La Boom
As it turns out, a "Boom" is a middle/elementary dance; it doesn't become a soirée or a fête until lycée (French people out there, correct me if I am wrong!). The staff of the chalet threw a dance party for the kids on their last night in the chalet. They had music, disco lights, the whole nine yards. We even gave them back all of the candy we had confiscated from them on the first night to eat at la boom. It all disappeared in 5 minutes, of course. This photo is from the last dance which was, to follow tradition, a slow song. I danced the whole time with everyone but Spencer, if you can believe it he didn't even ask me to dance! He was bombarded by girls throughout the evening to find out if he was aware that I was dancing with other boys and when was he going to come dance with me?! Haha, pretty cute. It's okay though, because he was on photographer duty and was able to take this picture.
