Eat out to help out

Went to 'Black Ivy' this evening with Ann's friend, Fiona, so that the humans could take advantage of the 'eat out to help out' scheme. Ann had booked an outdoor table because her weather app had been full of little sunny day symbols a few days ago. Mmmmmm...................... as soon as we got there it started chucking it down with rain, but actually we were OK because we were underneath a gazebo with heaters.  And it was actually quite warm.

Not the most successful eating out experience we've ever had. Firstly Ann & Fiona were going to share some chicken wings as a starter, but the main course arrived before they'd had them. The staff did say they could bring them out at no charge, but Ann & Fiona declined because their mains looked pretty big anyway.

Ann had fish & chips. It was HUGE and very yummy. Fiona had Thai chicken curry which unfortunately was not very hot so she sent it back. It came back hot and the staff said they wouldn't charge us for it, but Fiona wasn't really that impressed with it. I was! Fiona fed me some little bits of chicken and it was yummy!!!

However, we couldn't really fault the staffs' handling of the situation. Two main meals and a bottle of wine for just over £28 and £22 of that was for the wine. Lol!

…..................And then we popped into 'Montpeliers' for a little nightcap on the way home. The last time Ann went there they took her temperature when they took her order. This evening there was no temperature taking and no information taken for 'trace and protect' purposes????!!!! Oh well, ho hum. We sat outside and were more than 2m away from the next table.

Home now and we're both tired.  Going to bed soon.  Goodnight. xxx
