Bugle

Back home and there are jobs to be done. An important one that sprang to mind was cutting the grass lawn at the lodge.

While The Man cut the various green plants that comprise the lawn while I did some work on the flower bed. It turned out the only thing flowering in that bed was ajuga reptans, bugle. Previously I would have removed it but why? We have bought wildflower seeds to convert parts of this steep garden into a little wildflower meadow. The bugle arrived free of charge, gives good ground cover and has a pretty blue and mauve flower.

It can stay!

The frog  could have stayed too but after giving me a shock by moving when I hadn't realised it was there it hopped off, rapidly.

Edit: This is Selfheal a relative of bugle. Thanks, folks!
