Stepping out

Our neighbours have recently got some poultry and this is one of them.
It is lovely to hear the sound of them cluck,cluck,clucking away. The hens that is!
They get the run of the garden at times but yesterday, our neighbours discovered that they hadn’t quite managed to make it escape proof as one was in our garden.
Fortunately, neither our dogs or cat met him as I’m not sure what would happen.
This morning, I had a very small bonfire in a bin thing.
The hens started making a lot of noise. My wife reckons they were worried that they were going to be barbecued!!
They’ve calmed down now.
