Little waterfalls
It was another hot and sunny day today. I wanted to go back to the little steam we walked past yesterday, as although I took some long exposure photos of the waterfalls they were hand held and of course they were not sharp. Luckily is is very near to our apartment so I went back this morning with my tripod and took many more images.
Gavin and I then continued with our walk and went via the supermarket on the way back to get a few things we forgot yesterday. Whenever we come here I have to always check what groceries we have in the cupboard and throw out anything that is way past it's sell by date, and as we have not been here since New Year there was quite a bit of stuff that was long out of date that we would have usually used in the normal course of our visits, but never took place due to lockdown.
Luke, Meriel and Adam arrived at about 2pm (Tommy is still in Greece) and we had lunch ready for them. They sat on the terrace eating their lunch and enjoying the view, and as soon as they had finished eating we set off on a walk through the village. The clouds started building up and the sky looked quite threatening so we decided to turn around and head back. I had forgotten the storms that occur her in the mountains, poor Xena got quite a fright at the first really loud clap of thunder but seemed okay after that. We made it back as the first drops were falling and about 10 minutes later it was really pouring down, which we needed to clear the hot weather so did not mind.
I believe this canton of Graubunden only had 936 cases with 50 deaths due to Covid so very low numbers to what we experienced in the UK.
