Blackcap

The last month or so has been littered with window strikes. In all the time I've lived here, twenty one years, there have been about ten. Since late June there have been five Woodpigeons leaving their imprints, one died, a juvenile Robin; survived, a Song Thrush; survived, a Blackbird; died, a juvenile Great Tit; died, a Blue Tit; survived, and today's female Blackcap.
I don't know what's changed but I will now put some bird silhouette stickers on the windows facing the back garden.
