A feeling of Autumn

Strolled around my favourite local wood today, marking how things have changed over the past 7-10 days.  The paths have been freshly cut and widened which improves access.  The wild oregano is beginning to lose its freshness and there are far fewer butterflies now; a couple of Red Admirals, and a few Meadow Browns, no Peacocks at all!  The elderberries have turned from green to black which seems to signify Autumn's advance.  I liked the contrast of the berries against the red apples which are now beginning to form.
