Roedd diwrnod llawen heddiw oherwydd roeddwn ni'n gallu treulio amser gyda'r wyrion yn yr heulwen yn y parc. Gwnaethon ni seiclo i'r Rhath cwrdd â phawb ar dŷ Richard a Steph cyn cerdded i'r parc trwy'r siop hufen iâ. Roedd e'n dda i weld pobol yn ciwio y tu allan i'r siop ac yn aros yn amyneddgar cyn maen nhw'n gallu mynd i mewn. Mae'n ddelfrydol - doedd dim ots i neb am giwio y tu allan i'r siop hufen iâ yn yr heulwen, a does neb eisiau hufen iâ yn y glaw... Cerddon ni i'r parc i fwynhau'n hufen iâ cyn gwnaeth i'r plant grwydro i ffwrdd i chwarae.  Ffeindion nhw dwll llychlyd o dan y pyst rygbi ac yn dechrau chwarae gyda cherrig mân a llawer o gregyn cnau pistasio. Defnyddion ni nhw i wneud siapau blodyn ac anifeiliaid. Mae'n rhyfeddol cyn lleied sydd ei angen arnyn nhw i gael hwyl.  Roedd yn fy atgoffa am ein plant ni pan roedden ni arfer mynd ar enciliadau gwersylla yn y cefn gwlad.  Roedden nhw arfer chwarae gyda ffyn a cherrig hefyd. Doedden nhw ddim angen mwy o adloniant na'u dychymyg eu hunain.

Today was a joyful day because we were able to spend time with the grandchildren in the sunshine in the park. We cycled to Roath to meet everyone at Richard and Steph's house before walking to the park via the ice cream shop. It was good to see people queuing outside the shop and waiting patiently before they could enter. It's ideal - nobody cared about queuing outside the ice cream shop in the sunshine, and nobody wants ice cream in the rain... We went to the park to enjoy our ice cream before the children wandered off to play. They found a dusty hole under the rugby posts and started playing with pebbles and lots of pistachio shells. We used them to make flower and animal shapes. It's amazing how little they need for fun. It reminded me of our children when we used to go on camping retreats in the countryside. They also used to play with sticks and stones. They needed no more entertainment than their own imagination.
