Sizzling

It was our last full day in Southwold and what a sizzler it was!

Eldest and her hubby were heading home today so we met them just after 9am at one of the beach cafes for breakfast - bacon rolls and coffee, yum!

Hubby and son-in-law went off to play three rounds of putting so my three lovely girls and I went and had a paddle in the gorgeously calm blue sea then a potter around the shops on the pier. Lovely, lovely morning.

After we waved them bye bye, the rest of us went for a swim in the sea. It was baking hot even on the beach. I don’t think I’ve ever been in the sea and felt my face burning from the sun at the same time.

Beautiful day led into an equally beautiful balmy evening.
It was the first windless day in our fortnight!
