Pollett Bridge

This morning I made some cakes for an event tomorrow then this afternoon F called round and we went for a walk along the canal near home.

This is Pollett Bridge, a crossover (or roving) towpath bridge which allowed the horse to cross the canal when the towpath changed sides.

We followed a footpath where we were fortunate enough to see a (family?) group of spotted fly catchers flying from tree cover to catch insects.  I didn't have a long enough lens to get a decent shot as we were a distance away but it was lovely to watch them.
