Birthdays & The Kerrang Tour

This event always seems to arrive at the UEA on my eldest daughter Josie's birthday. Since she was 13, every year she has recieved a ticket for the stop at the UEA . Well with the exception of one year when we didn't like any of the bands on the line up and went to see Forever The Sickest Kids at The Waterfront instead. That was her 18th birthday and the band gave her a shout-out and dedicated a song to her :D

Anyway, this year was no different. She recieved a ticket and we went. Although this year, being 22 & 6 months pregnant, she did not go in the mosh pit and stood at the edge with me instead. And before anyone starts getting on their high horse about the fact that she is pregnant and at a gig, STOP!! She wasn't near any of the moshing or circle pits. She was at the side and away from the pushing and shoving. The people around us, despite being strangers, obviously saw her bump and were mindful and protective. Contrary to popular believe, the kids (and the "older" kids like me) are not all a bunch of hoodlums, layabouts and hoody-wearing emo's who self harm etc etc . So there!! I could carry on ranting about this as it really annoys me but I have to go to Asda tomorrow so I will save my rage for then! :D

Anyway, it was a bloody good night, We left early, three songs into the headline act as her feet were aching but we really, really enjoyed it. I can't wait to see who is on the line up for next year :D :D
