Elegant but derelict.
The Gardens of the World in Thousand Oaks was created by Ed and Lynn Hogan, founders of Pleasant Holidays, to build a striking monument to commemorate the various cultures of the world. Their motivation was to share with others their travel experiences and the beauty they have seen during their travels around the world. It is beautiful, but the way it is managed is a pain in the ass.
Security guards pounce on you at the entrance with a list of "don'ts" including no photography. I took this photo outside the gate looking in. The surroundings are beautiful. The attitude is derelict.
