Forty Years

That's how old that confetti would be.  Here a flight lieutenant colleague is pouring it over my newly married wife and we were collecting pieces for ages afterwards.

The weather that day was wonderful as well.  We had planned a decent family celebration for today, but of course that was overtaken by events . . .

I continue to be impressed at the prowess of professional photographers of the film era: you had to be pretty quick off the mark to catch this sort of shot, planned and prepared or not.
