Life Membership

Today my friend and fellow committee member David Millhouse received his Life Membership of Old Government House. Born in England, David has been living in Adelaide since he was 21. He is seen here with his wife, and OGH Patron and presenter Helen on the left.

In the extra photo is the B-29 Superfortress aircraft called Bockscar. On this day 75 years ago, on August 9th, 1945 it dropped the Fat Man atomic bomb on Nagasaki. This terrible weapon brought an end to WW11 five days later.
