Craigievar

Another wet and cold day so back to my 1989 photo project. One of the highlights of the trip for me was visiting Craigievar Castle in Aberdeenshire. It was so like a fairytale castle. I was so enchanted by it that I bought a miniature of it and 31 years later it is still in pride of place in our den.

When we moved to Bowral in 2000 our new home was then the same colour as Craigievar so of course we called it Craigievar. The two lower photos are of our Craigievar but after we painted it and built our 'turret ' at the back. We down-sized in 2013 and renamed our current home Mount Grace, so we moved from Aberdeenshire to Yorkshire!
