All that jazz

Delightful to see and hear the jazz resume this (late) afternoon. At 5pm a local quartet plays outside, and at a social distance, for about an hour. A five minute wander takes me to where the music takes place. People of all ages gather, some with food and glasses of something and some with dogs, to see friends, neighbours and enjoy the interlude. Here is the main mover, the saxophonist, with the guitarist behind him. There's also a drummer and a keyboard player. Today a vocalist joined in for a couple of more bluesy numbers.

The weather has been terrific today. Properly hot but not overly so. Blue, blue sky, a pleasant breeze and sunshine from dawn. Just perfect really. Its been a sociable day, both online and in real life. Our little grandson came for a visit with his dad. They stayed for lunch which was great.

I'm relaxing with my book now. I slept badly last night so I'll be heading to bed even earlier than usual. Just to complete the feel good day it's clean sheets tonight.
