By the River

Work this morning on what was a fairly steady morning . It did get busy mid morning we often find that on a Saturday. Lovely warm weather again so once I had finished work home and got my shorts and vest top on. After a snack lunch I took a quick drive out to Fiskerton fen. A few butterflies and dragonflies on the wing but they didn't settle. While there i saw one of my birding mates so a quick distant catch up . This shot was taken from the banks of the Witham showing the boats moored up and the lovely blue sky. I have included an extra of a male common blue which did settle but kept its wings closed but you can just see some of the blue.
Back home to watch some Super League Rugby League as that is now back Wigan play tomorrow .
A few beers is the plan tonight and hopefully a film as well
