Class photo # 1

I will post these regularly now. I collected class photos for many years of my life. Maybe because I have been a teacher for so many years if my life?
This one was found during a long trip through the center of France. I was looking for a property to buy for my retirement. In a corner of the stable next to the house I found some “treasures” half hidden under the straw.
If you are interested, give this a look on a large screen. When I look at the clothes and shoes of the girls ( of very different ages)
It must have been taken in the early days of the nineteen hundreds. This was in farmland, no big city for miles around. Can you imagine the stories behind the faces?
The faces of the nuns, only one of them shows a little more softness. What fates must they have had before they ended up being nun and teacher?
And then all the girls: starting with the beautiful older one in the upper row. She looks very confident and has a nearly happy smile. So many other expressions in the other faces; from dull to shy to curious etc. I can spend hours fantasizing about their lives, families and futures....
Each one of the class photos I collected could be the start or base of a novel....
