My day off! I’ve been looking forward to it all week because the forecast has been for 29 degree heat and wall-to-wall sunshine.

We got up quite late but it was clear blue sky and bright sunshine. I suggested coffee in the garden, but the second I walked outside with the mugs it started to torrentially rain. Didn’t even make it to the table. The rest of the day was equally disappointing, with thick cloud (but still suffocating heat) from midday onwards.

In the evening I made dinner and when Matt got home we quickly scoffed it, then headed to Paul’s for some drinks and Burrito-throwing in the garden. Everyone found it so funny, especially the fact that Maddy’s immediate reaction every time was to panic and aim for Matt’s face even if it wasn’t her turn.
