“Whooo Are You Looking At?”

I was quite startled to find this owl sitting above our garden gate today. He looked like I’d just woken him up from a doze and we just stared at each other until one of us blinked - him! When I checked back later he had his eyes closed, so presumably felt safe enough to doze off again! Maybe he will go hunting later when it gets dark. It looks pretty small, so maybe a baby? I wonder where the parents are?
