Floral tribute

I had to go into the centre of the city today. Masks all being worn in the bus.

After dropping off papers I headed along Princes Street. Lots of people around. Many groups of young people. Practically no masks being worn on the pavement which became a bit of a concern at pedestrian crossings where everyone huddled in waiting to cross. So my mask went on.

It felt busy and seemed as if there were tourists around. Some of the tourist buses had several passengers on them. In the parks and gardens everyone seemed to be well separated and in their own groups.

At the foot of the Mound is the floral clock. No time piece that I could see this year but a tribute to NHS and key workers. Good to be reminded that though the level of infection rate may be reducing people are still doing their jobs to help us all.
