Another Friday fire ... although the campsites are rammed we had the beach to ourselves and it was gorgeous watching the night fall, bats and owls emerging and a couple of distant nightwalkers/campers lights up on Helvellyn and Hallin fells and gradually all the stars popped out of the darkening sky. It was pitch dark when we finally dragged ourselves away just before 11.
